Start your own Branch of the Junior Star
It’s easy as 1, 2, 3! Just follow these steps OR contact us and we can help you!
1. You need to find people to help you produce the newspaper. No one can do it by themselves!
2. Assign everyone a job. Does someone want to write a book review each time? Do the jokes? Try to divide it up equally.
3. Decide how often your newspaper will come out. Every week? Is everyone up for the challenge (and sometimes rush)? How about every two weeks? Every month? Set a time.
4. Find people to deliver it to. Classmates? Relatives? Teachers? (If you are distributing it at school, make sure to ask your teacher first if you are allowed.)
5. Decide how many pages the newspaper will be. Two? Three? Four?
6. Decide what columns will be in the newspaper. Maybe you’d like to use some of ours, like the Job Spotlight or the Story Corner.
7. Find a layout you like on Microsoft Publisher, Word, or other software to use for the newspaper.
8. Get to work!
